FELICITATION PARADE TO THE NEW DEPUTY CHIEF OF STAFF

Deputy Chief of Staff , Maj Gen RV Udawatta psc ato was honoured by a guard turnout and a guard of honour by the troops of SLAOC on 22nd December 2016 at the RHQ premises.On his arrival Brigadier Jayathilake, Centre Commandant of SLAOC warmly received him at the main entrance and guard turnout was given by the troops of Sri Lanka Ordnance corps.

This formal ceremony was held in order to mark his new appointment as the Deputy Chief of Staff Sri Lanka Army on 15 December 2016. This was his first visit after assumption of duties as a deputy chief of staff. Maj Gen RV Udawatta psc ato was honoured with a guard of honour in accordance with military traditions.After taking Photograph with offrs and ORs at 0950 hrs, the foundation stone for kitchen at WO& Sgts Mess was laid by the Deputy Chief of Staff at 1035hrs.Later on, Deputy Chief of Staff Army attend to the refreshment and shared his thought with all other Senior Officers, Officers and the Other Ranks.After that he did not forget to address the gathering and the ceremony culminated with lunch at Offrs Mess.
