The Deputy Chief of Staff Major General Jagath Kodithuwakku RWP RSP ndu has paid his initial visit to Army Ordnance factory - Veyangoda on 24th February 2022.
The Deputy Chief of Staff was accorded with a drive pass and warmly welcome by the Over Looking Deputy Commandant Lieutenant Colonel WKSP Walakanda USP ato Lsc. The Master General Ordnance, Commander Logistic Command, Director Ordnance Services, The Centre Commandant and Few Other Senior Officers were also associated with the Occasion.
During the visit, Deputy Chief of Staff inspected Apparel Manufacturing Section, Shoes, Beret and Weaving Manufacturing Section, Equipment Manufacturing Section, Repairing Section, Metal Production, Bed Iron Manufacturing Section and troops accommodation areas as well.
During the visit Deputy Chief of Staff inspected the ammunition refilling section and newly introduced pyrotechnics section in CAAD, later he conducted a practical inspection of manufactured firecrackers and fireworks.
He appreciated all ranks for the effort made by them to enhance the Ordnance Factory up to the present standard by using limited resources and limited man power.
