The Commander of the Sri Lanka Army conducted an official visit to the Regimental Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps, Dombagoda, on 06th April 2026.
In accordance with military customs and traditions, the Commander was warmly received at the camp premises by the Colonel Commandant Maj Gen WMSN Wijekoon ndc AATO. Upon arrival, he was accorded a Guard Turnout, followed by a Drive Pass in his honour.
Marking the significance of the visit, the Commander planted a sapling within the camp premises, symbolising growth and sustainability. Thereafter, he undertook a comprehensive inspection of the camp, visiting key areas and facilities.
During the visit, the Commander held an interactive session with the officers, during which matters pertaining to administration, operations, and future developments were discussed in detail at the Officers’ mess and he recorded his remarks in the Visitors’ Book.
Subsequently, the Commander addressed the troops, emphasising the importance of professionalism, discipline, and dedication in the discharge of their duties.
The day’s programme culminated with an All Ranks Lunch, fostering unity among all ranks.
