BRIGADIER H.G.I VIDYANANDA USP AATO Lsc PROMOTED TO RANK OF MAJOR GENERAL

The President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces His Excellency Maithripala Sirisena has promoted Brigadier H.G.I Vidyananda of Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC) to the rank of Major General, states a communique issued by the Military Secretariat on Friday (29) evening.

Major General H.G.I Vidyananda of Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC), currently serving as Commander, Forward Maintenance Area (FMA) in Kilinochchi has accordingly been promoted to the rank of Major General, effective from 16 May 2018. Prior to his present appointment, he served as the Commandant, Army School of Logistics (ASL). He has held number of key appointment such as Director, Directorate of Ordnance Services at the Army Headquarters (AHQ), Colonel Ordnance, Directorate of Ordnance Services – AHQ, Center Commandant – Regimental Center SLAOC and Colonel Administration & Quartering, Security Force Headquarters – Jaffna.
