BOOK DONATION PROGRAMME FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN OF CIVIL STAFF WAS CONDUCTED BY 3 SLAOC - MINNERIYA

As a gesture of goodwill and charity in order to motivate the civil staff, Seva Vanitha Unit of 3 SLAOC -Minneriya conducted a book donation Programme consecutively for the 2nd time for school children of civil staff of the unit. This event was conducted as per the directions and guidance given by president of SLAOC Seva Vanitha Branch. In Compliance with strict Covid 19 health guidelines, a charm ceremony was held on 30 December 2021.

The event was graced by the Commanding Officer Lt Col WSD Fernando ato Lsc SLAOC, few members of Seva Vanitha Unit, Officers, cross section of soldiers and civil staff.

36 Children of 19 Civil Staff were donated with books, shoes, stationaries, water bottles, lunch boxes, and other essential school items. The days proceedings followed by offering them a tea party, entertainment events for children and a buffet lunch. This effort was highly appreciated by the civil staff and their children.
