4(V) Regiment Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps, which is under command to Security Forces Headquarters (Central), celebrated the 15th anniversary on 09 January 2022. A series of programs were launched with the participation of Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel WMSMB Wansekara AATO in order to celebrate the above event.
Giving prominence to the religious observances a Bodhi Pooja was conducted at the shrine of the unit on 08 January 2022 to invoke blessings. On 09th January 2022 Guard Turnout was accorded to the Commanding Officer and on the same day the newly constructed Armory and Guard Room building, Dining Room and Living Room of the WOs & Sergeants’ mess was declared open by the Commanding Officer. In parallel with that an All Rank lunch was taken placed.
Moreover, a Bodhi Pooja was also conducted at Nelligala International Buddhist Centre on 10 January 2022 with the participation of all ranks of the unit. On 11 January 2022 a blood donation campaign was also organized to mark the 15th anniversary.
