4(V) Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps - Pallekele, which is under command to Security Forces Headquarters (Central), celebrated the 14th anniversary on 09 January 2021. A series of programmes were conducted with the participation of Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel WMSMB Wansekara AATO in order to celebrate the event.
Giving prominence to the religious observances, a Bodhi Pooja was conducted at the unit shrine Room on 08th of January 2021 to invoke blessings of Triple Gem. On 09th of January a Guard Turnout was accorded to the Commanding Officer. The newly constructed Regiment Police building and the accommodation building for civil servants were declared open by the Commanding Officer on the same day. In parallel with the event an All Rank lunch was organized at the privates’ mess. Children of the present serving soldiers at 4(V) SLAOC who were qualified from the scholarship examination during the year 2020 were also appreciated by distributing a valuable book packs.
A Bodhi Pooja was conducted at Nelligala International Buddhist Centre on 10 of January 2021 with the participation of all ranks of the unit. On 11 January 2021 a blood donation campaign was also organized to mark the 14th anniversary.
