2nd Regiment Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps celebrated her 24th anniversary on 19 February 2021. A series of programmes were conducted under the patronage of the Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Vijitha Ekanayaka USP ato.
In parallel to the 24th anniversary a Cricket tournament was held on 17th February 2021.
Giving prominence to the religious observances, a Bodhi Pooja was conducted at the Unit Shrine Room on 18th February 2021 to invoke blessings of Triple Gem. On 19th February 2021 a Guard Turnout was accorded to the Commanding Officer and planted a Mango sapling by the Commanding Officer to mark the day as memorable one.
The Commanding Officer has joined with All Ranks for a tea and group photograph was taken to commemorate the occasion. As the final segment of the day All Rank lunch was organized at the ORs’ Mess followed by a troop address by the Commanding Officer.
