The 19th Anniversary of the 4(V) SLAOC, was commemorated through a well-structured and meaningful series of events, reflecting the unit’s steadfast commitment to military traditions, spiritual values, and community service.
The anniversary programme commenced on 01st January 2026 with a Flag Blessing and Milk Rice Poojawa held at the sacred Sri Dalada Maligawa, symbolising the unit’s deep spiritual roots, unity, and reverence for national heritage.
On 07th January 2026, a significant programme was conducted at the Provincial Ayurvedic Hospital, Pallekele, demonstrating the unit’s dedication to community service and its commitment to supporting public welfare initiatives.
Under the able guidance of the Commanding Officer, Major HMCCB Herath USP Lsc ato, a glamorous cricket tournament was successfully organized on 08th January 2026 with the enthusiastic participation of both Officers and Other Ranks. This event fostered camaraderie, teamwork, and a strong esprit the corps among all ranks.
On 09th January 2026, time-honoured military traditions were upheld with a Guard Turnout presented to the Commanding Officer. Thereafter, the newly constructed toilet block at the WOs’ and Sgts’ Mess was ceremonially declared open by the Commanding Officer. The celebrations continued with an All Ranks Lunch, and the day concluded with a vibrant Musical Night in the evening.
On 10th January 2026, the Officers’ Get-Together was graced by Major General WMSN Wijekoon ndc AATO, QMG – Army Headquarters and Col Comdt of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps and Col GTS Silva USP QLCO Lsc ato - Center Comdt of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps along with past Commanding Offrs, senior Offrs, and Volunteer Offrs.
