The programme was conducted by the Indira Cancer Trust, a recognized Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) dedicated to cancer awareness, early detection, and patient support, with special emphasis on promoting women’s health and preventive care. The session provided participants with expert guidance on identifying early warning signs, understanding risk factors and adopting healthy lifestyle practices to reduce the risk of breast cancer.

The awareness lecture was graced by the presence and active participation of the Honourable President of the SLAOC Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs Nirmalin Wijekoon, whose leadership and engagement underscored the importance accorded to women’s health and overall well-being within the Corps. The programme was attended by Seva Vanitha members, Lady Officers and Other Ranks, ensuring broad participation and collective engagement across all ranks.

The session proved highly informative, offering valuable insights, practical knowledge and professional medical advice, thereby enhancing health consciousness among participants.
