"A DAY OF TRADITION AND EXCELLENCE" THE ADMINISTRATIVE INSPECTION OF THE COMMANDER LOGISTICS COMMAND AND THE COLONEL COMMANDANT MAJ GEN EMM FERNANDO HDMC LSC AATO AT THE 3RD REGIMENT SRI LANKA ARMY ORDNANCE CORPS

"A Day of Tradition and Excellence" The Administrative Inspection of the Commander Logistics Command and the Colonel Commandant Maj Gen EMM Fernando Hdmc Lsc AATO at the 3rd Regiment Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps.

On the 14 March 2025, the Administrative inspection took place at the 3rd Regiment Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps, led by the Commander Logistics Command and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps, Major General EMM Fernando Hdmc Lsc AATO. In a display of military customs and traditions, the Commanding Officer of the 3rd Regiment Major BDR Perera psc Lsc AATO warmly welcomed the esteemed guest at the entrance, marking a significant moment of pride and professionalism for the regiment.

In celebration of tradition, the event began with a formal review of the guard turnout, presented by the unit at the invitation of the Commanding Officer. As the day unfolded, the Commander Logistics Command and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps marked the occasion by planting a sapling at the unit’s headquarters, creating a lasting memory of the visit. The dignitaries then posed for a group photograph to commemorate the moment.

The visit continued with the Commanding Officer providing an insightful briefing on the unit's administrative operations to the Colonel Commandant. Following this, the Colonel Commandant embarked on a comprehensive inspection of key facilities within the unit. His tour included the Administration Office, Warrant Officers' and Sergeants' Mess, ORs' accommodations, Q Stores, ORs' Kitchen, Corporals' Club, Welfare Shop, Canteen, and finally OSS(Artillery Brigade), ensuring all aspects of the unit were thoroughly reviewed.

During his address to the troops, the Colonel Commandant expressed deep appreciation for the dedication and hard work demonstrated by the Commanding Officer and all ranks in maintaining the unit to such a high standard.

He further shared his vision for the future, focusing on the importance of continuous improvement in both administrative functions and training. Emphasizing the significance of participating in courses, seizing training opportunities, and fostering a culture of constant learning, he underscored how these elements are crucial for the development of their professionalism.

As the address concluded, the Colonel Commandant extended his best wishes for the future endeavors of each member of the unit. He then took a moment to reflect on the visit, leaving his heartfelt thoughts and well-wishes in the visitor's book, marking the occasion with a personal and meaningful note.
