The Advanced Physical Training Instructor Course No. 18 was held from 01 October 2024 to 10 February 2025, and the Basic Physical Training Instructor Course No. 133 was held from 20 October 2024 to 10 February 2025 at the Sri Lanka Army Physical Training School, Panagoda. Both courses concluded with a prestigious passing-out parade on 10 February 2025 at the Army Indoor Stadium, Army Cantonment, Panagoda.
Among the pass-outs, Second Lieutenant TA Nilaweera and Private Sugandika KDV of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps stood out as trailblazers. Upon successfully completing the courses, they not only earned the title of Physical Training Instructors but also etched their names in the Corps' history. Lieutenant Tharushi Nilaweea and Private Sugandika KDV made history as the first-ever female officer and female other ranker from the Corps of Ordnance to graduate from the Advanced Physical Training Instructor Course.
