The Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps celebrated its 75th anniversary at the "Home of Ordnance" in Dombagoda, Horana, with a series of events from 12 to 14 October 2024. An all-night 'Pirith' chanting ceremony, followed by an alms-giving, was organized with the blessings of the SVB-SLAOC to invoke blessings for the regiment and to honour its fallen war heroes.
Maj Gen EMM Fernando Hdmc Lsc AATO, Commander Logistics Command and Colonel Commandant SLAOC, along with Mrs Iresha Fernando, President of the SVB-SLAOC, graced the occasion. The event was attended by senior officers, officers, members of the SVB, other ranks and the families of war heroes.
