1st Regiment, Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps conducted a welfare programme on 10 April 2026, in accordance with the directions of the Seva Vanitha Branch Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corp, to mark the forthcoming Sinhala and Hindu New Year. Dry ration packs valued at approximately Rs. 7,500/- each were distributed to the civilian staff serving in the unit. In addition, gift vouchers worth Rs. 5,000/- each, provided by the Army Seva Vanitha Branch, were also presented.
The Commanding Officer appreciated the dedicated service of the civilian staff and conveyed New Year wishes to them and their families. The programme was conducted with the participation of all officers and other ranks, and concluded successfully.
