The Quarter Master General and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps, Maj Gen W M S N Wijekoon ndc AATO, conducted an administrative inspection at the Regional Ordnance Depot Complex (MLT) on 07th February 2026.
At the arrival of Colonel Commandant was accorded a Guard Turnout as per the military tradition and warmly welcomed by the Commandant, Lt Col HPAS Hewapathirana AATO. As per the itinerary, the Quarter Master General and Colonel Commandant planted a sapling at the RODC (MLT) premises to mark the occasion, followed by a group photograph.
Afterward, the day’s programme commenced with a comprehensive briefing delivered by the Commandant of the Regional Ordnance Depot Complex (MLT) on the administrative, training, and logistic matters of the RODC (MLT).
During the visit, Colonel Commandant inspected Admin Office, WOs' & Sgts' Mess, Q Stores, Gymnasium, Armoury, ORs' Accommodations, Main Kitchen and Officers’ Accommodations.
Concluding the visit, Colonel Commandant addressed the troops, emphasizing the importance of maintaining discipline, continuous training and development of soldiers, ensuring job security through professionalism, and promoting efficient administration within the organization.
Finally, Colonel Commandant penned his thoughts and best wishes in the visitor’s book.
