The Centre Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps, Colonel GTS Silva USP QLCO Lsc ato, conducted an Administrative Inspection at the 5 SLAOC on 26 th January 2026.
At the arrival of the Center Commandant was accorded a Guard Turnout as per the military tradition and warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer Major RMPKI Rathnayake Lsc. As per the itinerary, a group photograph was taken with all Officers and SNCOs of the 5 SLAOC, followed by planting a sapling at the camp premises marking the visit memorable.
Afterward, the day’s programme commenced with a comprehensive briefing delivered by the Commanding Officer on administrative and logistics matters of the unit. The Centre Commandant expressed his appreciation for the efforts undertaken by the Commanding Officer and all ranks carrying for out the renovations and implementing new projects.
During the visit the Center Commandant inspected the Admin Office, Main Kitchen, ORs' Accn, WOs' & Sgts' Mess, Q Stores and the lady ORs accommodation.
Concluding the visit, the Center Commandant addressed the troops, emphasizing the importance of maintaining military discipline and the responsibilities of SNCOs on guiding and developing their juniors.
Finally, the Center Commandant penned his thoughts and best wishes in the visitor’s book.
