Creating an another glorious remark in the history of 10 Field Engineers Regiment, refabricated Sappers’ Mess and the NCOs’ Club of the 10 Field Engineer Regiment, Myliddy was declared open by the Commanding Officer, Maj PADSW Ponnamperuma USP psc SLE on 30 May 2020, with the participation unit Officers, Senior NCOs and NCOs giving considerations to the traditional, social and military value to the occasion.

14 CBRN Regiment SLE conducted a disinfection programme on 19 May 2020 at Maradana Railway Station and Diyatha Uyana premises to bring normalcy of the country by mobile Disinfectant Spraying platform design built and donated by I- CERT (Ironman 4 x 4 Community Emergency Response Team) to Sri Lanka Army.

As per the direction of Major General H J S Gunawardena RSP VSV USP ndc psc, the Colonel Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers and the Commandant Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force, 12 Field Engineer Regiment has initiated two plant projects “Thamba Seru Vila and Siyoth Vila” at the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force new camp premises in Salawa, Kosgama.

After almost two month lockdown was imposed to stop the spread of the destructive Corona virus (COVID 19) with in the country, taking its first limping steps towards getting back to semblance of normalcy. In order to support that, the troops of 14 CBRN (Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear ) Regiment with the support of 12 Filed Engineer Regiment of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers commenced the disinfection of 123 Railway Stations daily from Colombo to Galle, Marardana to Ihala Kotte, Polgahawela to Maho and Colombo to Awissawella Since 11 May 2020.

Members of the special Presidential Task Force, appointed by HE the President to look into needs for health security of tri service personnel in the wake of the COVID-19 threat, paid a visit on 04 May 2020 to the Headquarter Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, established at Army Cantonment Panagoda and had a close look at the entire camp premises.
