10 Field Engineer Regiment Troops, under the guidance of Commanding Officers Major WKST Kanangara psc SLE, continued their community projects by conducting a "Sharamadana Campaign" at the State Home for Elders in Kaithady on 31 August 2020. Cleaning the surrounding of state home and buildings as per the requirement of the Administrative staff was carried out by the Troops to uplift the living standard of the elders occupied in the state home. The administrative staff of the State Home for Elders were highly appreciated the effort taken by the 10 Field Engineer Regiment.

Conforming to the new Unit deployment plan circulated by the Army Headquarters 12 Field Engineer Regiment have been exempted from the classic duties and relocated at Pitigala area under 612 Infantry Brigade specifically focusing on the Infantry duties. Immediately after the resumption of Operations in 612 InfBde AOR, the12 Field Engineer Regiment have joined the troops of 2 x 30 battled and fight blazing flames of wildfires at the Piniyawala forest reserve in Walallawita Divisional Secretariat on 23rd August 2020.

12 Field Engineer Regiment has redeployed in Pitigala, Elpitiya area under 612 Infantry Brigade from 16 to 18 August 2020 from Army Cantonment Panagoda as a new deployment plan of Army Headquarters to undertake infantry duties and relived 20 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment for their new redeployment in Katharagama area. 12 Field Engineer Regiment was located Army Cantonment Panagoda and carried out Field and Plant engineering duties in SFHQ (West) area before redeployed in Pitigala.

The programme was held at the Corps Headquarters, Panagoda on 30 August 2020 and Mrs Sagara Gunawardena the President Corps of Engineers Seva Vanitha Branch graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Its landmark commemorative 31 st anniversary ceremonies of multifarious nature, put in place in collaboration with all officers and other rankers under the supervision and guidance of the commanding officer 5 Field Engineer Regiment got to a start prioritizing religious and civil-community oriented program.

As 13th anniversary events 10 Field Engineer Regiment conducted raw material donation and an alms giving programme at State Home for Elders and Salvation Army Children Home in Kaithady. On 15th August 2020 raw materials for lunch donated for 290 elders accommodating in the State Home for Elders. The alms giving for the Salvation Army Children Home was conducted on 16th August 2020. Twenty children were provided with food and study material with the contribution of all Officers and Other Ranks of the 10 Field Engineer Regiment. Commanding Officer of 10 Field Engineer Regiment Major W K S T Kannangara psc SLE graced the occasion as the chief guest in both events.

103 Field Squadron crowned as the champions in the Inter Squadron Volleyball tournament while 100 HQ Squadron crowned as the champions in the Inter Squadron Cricket tournament which was held at Myliddy camp premises on 15th and 16th August 2020. The first round matches were held from 25th to 30th July 2020 with the participation of all Squadrons. Where 103 Field Squadron competed with 101 Field Squadron for the Volleyball championship final and 103 Field Squadron competed with 100 HQ Squadron in the Cricket championship final. The 13th Anniversary of 10 Field Engineer Regiment held on 14 August 2020, showcasing glamour and pride in a grand scale. The anniversary day celebrations included Guard Turn Out and Ceremonial Parade for the Commanding Officer and All Ranks lunch. 10 SLE (RFT) was raised on 03rd August 2007 in Myliddy and on 12 July 2011 re-designated as 10 Field Engineer Regiment and relocated in Myliddy under SFHQ(J).
