10 Field Engineer Regiment celebrated the 74th National Independence with glamour and grace. Along with the presence of the Commanding Officer Lt Col WKST Kannangara psc SLE, all Officers and other ranks of the Regiment. The unit has planted hundred saplings to symbolize the occasion of Independence Day as a gesture of goodwill and in commemoration of fallen National Heroes of Sri Lanka.

The GOC 61 Infantry Division Maj Gen DBSN Bothota RWP RSP USP psc visited 12 Field Engineer Regiment on 02 February 2022. The visiting GOC initially inspected the proposed land for both 612 Infantry Brigade and 12 Field Engineer Regiment. Later he visited the Headquarters 12 Field Engineer Regiment. The Commander 613 Infantry Brigade who currently overlooking duties as the Commander 612 Infantry Brigade, Brig KAU Kodithuwakku RSP USP psc IG, Col GS 61 Infantry Division Col KASK Siriwardena RWP RSP USP, Senior Staff Officer 612 Infantry Brigade Lt Col GHG Udaya Santha RSP and Officers of 12 Field Engineer Regiment accompanied with the General Officer Commanding on the field visit.

The General Officer Commanding, Engineer Division Major General M K Jayawardena RSP USP ndu inspected the progress of Projects which are being conducted by 1, 5 and 12 Field Engineer Regiments and 12 (V) Engineer Services Regiment in Southern Province and Kalutara and district from 24 January 2022 to 26 January 2022. The visiting General Officer Commanding was received and accompanied by the Brigade Commander, General Engineering Brigade, Brigadier P P A Perera psc Hdmc and briefed the existing progress of the projects.
