Brigadier R M Subasinghe RSP, Commander Plant Engineer Brigade, paid an official visit to the 7 Field Engineer Regiment of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers on 26 February 2026. On arrival, the senior officer was warmly received by Lieutenant Colonel M A P Abeywickrama psc SLE, the Commanding Officer of the 7 Filed Engineer Regiment and was accorded a Guard Turnout at the main entrance. In keeping with military traditions, the Commander also took part in a tree planting ceremony in front of the Headquarters Building, symbolizing growth, unity and sustainability.

The 4 (Volunteer) Engineer Regiment SLE celebrated its 115th Anniversary on 23 February 2026 at the camp premises in Borupana, Rathmalana, with a series of meaningful and well-coordinated events. Conducted on 07, 19, 21, and 23 February 2026, the program reflected the Regiment’s proud heritage, strong traditions, and unwavering unity.
