  • SRI LANKA ARMY ENGINEER DIVISION SHAPED TOMORROW’S LEADERS OF DHARMARAJA MAHA VIDYALAYA - COLOMBO

    Sri Lanka Army Engineer Division organized a comprehensive leadership programme on 15 March 2025 for the 50 prefects of Dharmaraja Maha Vidyalaya - Colombo, accompanied by five teachers including the vice principal. The event, aimed at fostering leadership qualities and enhancing teamwork, was held at the Mattegoda Engineer Division Camp premises.

  • SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDED THE CBRN RESPONSE BASIC COURSE

    The 14 Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) Response Regiment successfully conducted a CBRN Response Basic Course to strengthen the capacity and capabilities of soldiers by training them as first responders to Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) emergencies in the country. The course was held from 13 February 2025 to 12 March 2025, with the participation of 22 student soldiers under the supervision of the Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering.

  • SOLEMN MILITARY FUNERAL OF SAPPER VIRAJ GGS OF THE 14 CBRNE RESPONSE REGIMENT SLE

    The military funeral of late S/252538 Sapper Viraj G G S, who had served the country for 03 years, took place on Saturday, 15th March 2025 evening at Naranowita General Cemetery. His comrades-in-arms, grieving loved ones, and a sea of mourners gathered in solemn tribute to bid him a dignified farewell.

    On 23 February 2025, the 4 (Volunteer) Engineer Regiment SLE celebrated its 114th anniversary with a variety of exciting activities at the camp in Borupana, Rathmalana. The events were held from 21 to 23 February 2025, honored the unit's remarkable history and customs while symbolizing its pride, dedication, and unity. The entire programs were organized under the leadership and oversight of Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel H P U Dasanayake USP SLE.

  • 14 CBRNE RESPONSE REGIMENT SECURES SUSPECTED CHEMICAL LEAK AT UNIVERSITY OF MORATUWA

    In response to a request from the University of Moratuwa to the Ministry of Defence, with the technical support of the National Authority for the Implementation of the Chemical Weapons Convention (NACWC), the 14 Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) Response Regiment deployed a specialized response team on 02 March 2025 to address a suspected chemical leak at the university's chemical storage facility.

  • 14 CBRNE RESPONSE REGIMENT HOSTS INTER-UNIT BADMINTON TOURNAMENT

    The 14 CBRNE Response Regiment organized a Inter-Unit Badminton Tournament on the 27th and 28th of February 2025 at Home of Sappers Maththegoda, bringing together 34 players from various regiments of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers. The event saw thrilling matches across several categories, providing a platform for athletes to showcase their skills and compete for the coveted titles.
