The 14 CBRNE Response Regiment of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers successfully conducted a comprehensive training program on 17 and 18 January 2026 for the team selected to participate in the prestigious Pakistan Army Team Spirit (PATS) event. The program conducted at the 3(v) SLSR and it was designed to enhance technical knowledge, operational preparedness, and team confidence ahead of the international military exercise. The training covered a series of structured lectures focusing on the identification of explosives, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) equipment, Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), and emerging Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) threats. These sessions aimed to strengthen the participants’ theoretical understanding while familiarizing them with contemporary threats encountered in modern operational environments.
