The 8 Field Engineer Regiment successfully organized the “මාතෘ අභිමන” Seva Vanitha Community Support and Development Programme in collaboration with Forever Skin Natural (Pvt) Ltd, as a Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Seva Vanitha Branch initiative on 8 October 2025 at Boo Oya, Vavuniya. This was conducted parallel to the 29th Anniversary of unit, under the leadership of Lt Col Asanka Hidallaarachchi, Commanding Officer of 8 SLE.

On 29th September 2025, a powerful display of inter-stakeholder coorperation and officers and troops of 14 CBRNE Resp Regiment took center stage at General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) which was organized by the Faculty of Medicine. The event brought together Sri Lanka Army, STF, academia and international partners from Belarus to share critical knowledge and demonstrate practical readiness in managing high stake radiological and nuclear incidents

The closing ceremony of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Level 1 Course was held on 19 September 2025 with great pride and significance. The event was graced by the chief guest, Ms. Jayne Howell – the Deputy Chief of Mission of the United States Embassy in Sri Lanka. Distinguished dignitaries who participated included Senior Defence Official and Defence Attachè- Lieutenant Colonel Matthew House, Office of Defense Cooperation Chief - Lieutenant Commander Ros Lary, Mr. Dustin Bickel and Chief Field Engineer of Sri Lanka Army - Brigadier CD Wickramanayake WV RSP ndc.
