97th National Boxing Championship 2024 took place from 23rd to 26th of January 2025 at the Gall face Outdoor Stadium, where 01 male and 02 female Sapper boxers represented the Army team and displayed remarkable skills and performances. Their hard work paid off as they secured a total of 03 medals, including 02 Gold Medals and 01 Bronze Medal.

Under the guidance of the Commander of the Field Engineer Brigade and the Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering, and under the supervision of the Commanding Officer of the 14 CBRNE Response Regiment, the Veterinary Assistant Course 01/2024 successfully concluded at the 14 CBRNE Response Regiment in Mattegoda. Thirteen other rank students from the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers and four other rank students from the Commando Regiment were qualified as Veterinary Assistance.

6 Field Engineer Regiment bids farewell for Lieutenant Colonel M A K R K Abeywickramasinghe RWP RSP psc SLE upon completion of 1 year and 4 months of his illustrious military tenure as the 22nd Commanding Officer on 31 December 2024 at 6 Field Engineer Regiment, Pallekele, Kundasale. The farewell ceremonies included a Guard Turnout, Ceremonial Parade and followed by a Troop Address by the outgoing Commanding Officer to Officers and Other ranks.
