  • 14 CBRN REGIMENT DISINFECTED RAILWAY STATIONS

    After almost two month lockdown was imposed to stop the spread of the destructive Corona virus (COVID 19) with in the country, taking its first limping steps towards getting back to semblance of normalcy. In order to support that, the troops of 14 CBRN (Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear ) Regiment with the support of 12 Filed Engineer Regiment of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers commenced the disinfection of 123 Railway Stations daily from Colombo to Galle, Marardana to Ihala Kotte, Polgahawela to Maho and Colombo to Awissawella Since 11 May 2020.

    Major HAMP Kumara SLE became the first in order of merit in the Junior Command Course held at Officer Career Development Centre - Buttala from 04 January 2020 to 30 March 2020 and 51 student officers were participated in the course.

The awareness lecture was held under the guidance of Chief Field Engineer and the Engineer Brigade on 16 March 2020 at the Army camp, MATTEGODA.

The entire programme was organized under the guidance and supervision of Commanding Officer of 12 Field Engineer Regiment Major G J P DE Silva SLE.

  • EOD TRAINEES OF MALDIVES NATIONAL DEFENCE FORCE ATTENDS THEIR FINAL TRAINING EVENTS

    Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) students attending advance bomb and improvised explosive device disposal training course presently at Maldives completed their final stages of training sessions at Laamu, Kadhdhoo. The trainees participated final live demolitions, destruction of arms and ammunitions and mass destruction practical training events with greater enthusiasm and confident. The Commander College of Defence and Security Studies of MNDF Headquarters, Brigadier General Wais Waheed made an inspection visit to the training events and witnessed the live demolitions conducted and appreciated the level of self-confidence and skills displayed by the students. Maj Krishantha Pussewela and Maj Janaka Gunewardhena coordinated the demolition training events under the supervision of the Head of the Training Team Lt Col Chandana Wickramanayake.
