The Centre Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Brig M Mayadunna RSP USP paid an official visit to 12 Field Engineer Regiment on 30 September 2020. The visiting Centre Commandant was accorded with formal drive pass by the troops of 12 Field Engineer Regiment and welcomed by the Commanding Officer on his arrival. Thereafter, briefing was conducted by the Commanding Officer in Operational Commitment, Unit Roll and task under 612 Infantry Brigade.
Later visiting Centre Commandant ushered to the hall pack with enthusiastic troops to hear the Centre Commandant’s address to them. After a few minutes of his address he visited the camp premises and planted a mango sapling to mark his visit to the 12 Field Engineer Regiment. Thereafter the Centre Commandant invited for all rank tea and freely mingled with soldiers and shared his thoughts with them.
