SAPPERS OF 8 SLE RENOVATES THE PARADE GROUND OF RHQ GR - SALIYAPURA

One of the major construction project which was tasked to the 84 Plant Squadron of 8 Field Engineer Regiment at the end of year 2019. Renovation of Regimental Headquarters and Preparation of the parade ground of Gajaba Regiment – Saliyapura, were also completed as priority tasks of during the project. The ground work was consisted with leveling the ground and laying of ABC and Asphalt. The involvement and the effort given by the officers and the ORS of the 8 Field Engineer Regiment was highly appreciated by the Commander of the Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Gajaba Regiment during their official visit. The parade ground is 130m in length and 80m in width. The project was initiated on 30 October 2019 and successfully completed on 14 September 2020 with the involvement of 20 machine operators employed in motor graders, road rollers, backhoe loaders, dump trucks and water bowsers.
