  • EAST TROOPS DISTRIBUTE DRY RATION PACKS FOR NEEDY FAMILIES

    In order to alleviate hardships faced by civilians due to current pandemic situation, a distribution of dry rations and essential items was conducted among the needy families living in Galkanda area on 26 January 2022 with the sponsorship of a philanthropist for the stock. The program was conducted under the guidance of the Commander, Security Force East Major General Lal Chandrasiri and the General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division Major General Nalin Koswatte.

  • CORNER-STONE LAID FOR NEW OFFICERS’ ACCOMMODATION

  • THIRD STOCK OF 22 DIVISION PRODUCED ORGANIC FERTILIZER RELEASED

    Giving a boost to the Government's Organic Fertilizer Production Process as per the directions of the Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army General Shavendra Silva, the third stock of organic fertilizer produced by the troops under the 22 Infantry Division was released to ‘Ceylon Fertilizer Company Limited' (Lak Pohora) on the supervision of Major General Sanath Aluvihare, General Officer Commanding 22 Infantry Division at the Headquarters premises of 22 Infantry Division in Trincomalee on Wednesday (19).
