Brigadier MS Devapriya USP ndc assumed the office as the first ever Deputy General Officer Commanding of 22 Infantry Division on 30 November 2022. The newly appointed Deputy GOC's name will be written in the history of this Division as the first Deputy General Officer Commanding.

On the concept of Commander, Security Forces - East, Major General Sujeewa Hettiarachchi and under the directions of the General Officer Commanding, 22 Infantry Division, Major General Saliya Amunugama together with the close supervision of the Commander, 223 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Ravindra Jayasinghe, and fully patronage of Overlooking Commander, 222 Infantry Brigade, Colonel Nimal Chandrasekara, two Cricket Tournaments were organized by under command troops of 22 Division at Valathottam playground and Sampur Public Stadium with the aim of promoting harmony among the multi-ethnic and multi-religious people living in the area during 25, 26 and 27 November 2022.

The 9th Sri Lanka Artillery troops of the 233 Infantry Brigade under the 23 Infantry Division of the Security Force Headquarters - East, extending the Army's helping hand towards deserving students gifted 60 pairs of school shoes to students in schools under the “Dimbulagala Educational Zone” once again after inviting the beneficiaries to the office premises of the Zonal Education office at Dimbulagala on Wednesday (2).
