The troops of the 231 Infantry Brigade under the direction of Brigadier Dilupa Bandara, Brigade Commander, 231 Infantry Brigade, arrange a lunch for the elders of the "Little Sisters Of The Poor'' elderly home on Monday (May 8).
25 male and 25 female elders were in the elderly home, provided the delicious lunch, and spent a day with them satisfactorily. Moreover, essential needs were distributed among the elders and to the elderly home. The event succeeded with the patronage of Mrs. SDK Kumari and the worth of the contribution was Rs. 50000.00.
Brigadier Dilupa Bandara, Brigade Commander, 231 Infantry Brigade, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Mr. Udith Liyanage Deputy Inspector General, Batticaloa District, Lieutenant Colonel Dammika Weerasinghe, Civil Affairs Officer, 231 Infantry Brigade and troops of the brigade participated in this programme.
