A CIMIC ACTIVITY ORGANIZED BY 22 INFANTRY DIVISION

Troops of 221 Infantry Brigade Under the 22 Infantry Division organized an essential school accessories distribution programme for the school children of low-income families at Kallarawa St. John primary school and Sagarapura primary school in Trincomalee District on 29 May 2023.

The programme was conducted under the patronage and guidance of the General Officer Commanding 22 Infantry Div Maj Gen Saliya Amunugama RWP RSP ndu and with the close supervision of the Commander 221 Infantry brigade Col AK Peris RSP. 17 SLNG Battalion organized the event and 27 packs of essential school accessories worth of Rs: 270000.00 were distributed among 27 school children at the School Auditorium of Kallarawa School. Mrs. Ameesha Jayakody donated the gift packs and, Commander 221 Infantry Brigade along with the commanding officer 17 SLNG participated for the event.
