Officers and other ranks of the 241 Infantry Brigade organized a "Rice Dansal" on Poson Poya day in front of the 241 Infantry Brigade Headquarters for the first time with the assistance and donations of Akkaraipattu Trade union, owners of Rice Mills and the local resources which were found by the Brigade troops. The event was organized under the direction of Commander 24 Infantry Division Maj Gen W Chandrasiri RSP USP psc and the instruction and supervision of Commander 241 Infantry Brigade Col LSDN Pathirathna RSP USP. More than 6000 Sinhala, Tamil, Muslim, and Catholic communities of Akkareipattu and the surrounding areas took part in the dansal event, and they highly appreciated the said programme.

Under the directions and guidance of Commander 231 Infantry Brigade Brigadier Dilupa Bandara insect killer machines were donated to the Little Sister of the Poor elders' home on 04 June 2023. An entertainment event also conducted with a snack and tea with the elders of the elders home after the donation.

A special lunch was offered by 221 Infantry Brigade troops for 70 children in Vilgammula College of Trincomalee District on 31 May 2023. The event was personally funded by Brigade Commander 221 Infantry Brigade, Colonel A.K Peiris RSP under the guidance of Major General S.B Amunugama RWP RSP ndu, the General Officer Commanding, 22 Infantry Division.
