GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING 22 INFANTRY DIVISION MADE HIS FIRST OFFICIAL VISITS TO UNDER COMMAND FORMATIONS

The General Officer Commanding 22 Infantry Division, Major General GMN Perera RWP RSP USP ndc made his first official visits to 221, 222 and 223 Infantry Brigades and under command battalions on 08, 10,11 13 and 14 June 2023 after assuming his new office.

Purpose of these visits was to get familiarized with the Division AOR and the deployment of under command brigades and battalions. General Officer Commanding was warmly welcomed in each headquarter by respective Commanders and staff. Addressing the troops, the General Officer Commanding specially highlighted the uplifting the welfare facilities of the soldiers and impotency of maintaining high standards of discipline on duty station, staying in barracks and during leave period. On final day of series of visits (14 June 23), General Officer Commanding visit to Battalion Training School Thaulwewa and address the troops of 6 SLAC which is currently engaging with the training. During the visit GOC also conducted a motivational lecture on ‘Life’ to the troops of 6 SLAC.
