Under the direction of SFHQ East and the close supervision of Colonel AKCS De Silva RSP Commander 233 Infantry Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel MIS Chandrakumara USP Psc Commanding Officer and troops of 9 SLA organized a medical clinic and eye clinic for patients who are in over 55 years old in Welikanda area in association with the Mobile medical and Eye Care Unit of Help Age Sri Lanka on 10 June 2023 .
The event was held at Gemunu Maha Viharaya, Sinhapura and was sponsored by Supreme TV, including media coverage for the entire programme. About 250 patients attended for both clinics and those who eligible to receive spectacles and cataract surgery will facilitate within one month time.
Senior officers of the Security Forces Headquarters East, 23 Infantry Division, 233 Infantry Brigade and Troops of 9 SLA, officers of Welikanda Divisional secretariat, Representatives and medical staff of Help Age Sri Lanka and Deputy director of Supreme TV Mr. Kanchana Kodithuwakku were participate the event success.
