Major General G M N Perera RWP RSP USP ndc of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry assumed duties as the new General Officer Commanding of the 22 Infantry Division with religious blessings at the Headquarters in plantain point, Trincomalee on 07 June 2023.
The newly appointed General Officer Commanding of the 22 Infantry Division was warmly welcomed by Staff Officers and honored in a Guard Turnout. Afterwards new General Officer Commanding signed a formal document at the auspicious minute and symbolized the official acceptance of new appointment.
Furthermore, planting of a sapling, formal address to the Officers and Other Ranks in the Division AOR, staff briefing and culminated the day’s proceedings. Division Headquarters Staff Officers, Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, and under command troops were participated in the occasion.
