The routine admin inspection of the Sri Lanka Military Academy was conducted by Maj Gen M G W W W M C B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army on 27 May 2025.
Upon the arrival, Maj Gen Wickramasinghe was warmly welcomed with a Drive Pass at the entrance. In keeping with tradition, the Chief of Staff planted a sapling in front of the Headquarters premises.
Before commencing the formal proceedings, Maj Gen M J R S Medagoda RSP USP ndc psc IG, the Commandant of SLMA, welcomed all Directors and Staff Officers from the Army Headquarters. Subsequently, Maj Gen H T W Vidyananda RWP RSP USP, Director General Personnel Administration, officially inaugurated the gathering and explained the purpose of the administrative inspection.
At the concluding of the inspection, the Chief of Staff addressed the SLMA staff, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the quality of training and uplifting the standards of future military leaders. Following the address, tokens of appreciation were exchanged, and lunch was served at the Officers’ Mess for all senior officers who participated in the inspection.
