The Sri Lanka Military Academy proudly hosted the Parents’ Day of Officer Cadet Intakes 94 B, Lady 20 and Lady 19 (Vol) on 24 May 2025, under the supervision and guidance of The Commanding Officer- Officer Cadet Wing Colonel S D K W M M I Weliwita RWP RSP USP psc. The event provided a valuable opportunity for officer cadets to showcase their skills and achievements to their beloved parents and families.
The day's programme featured a series of well-coordinated and vibrant activities, including a drill display, a demonstration attack on an enemy hideout, gymnastic and physical training displays,a variety of entertainment performances and a special lunch to treat the parents and participants adding warmth and hospitality to the celebration.
The Commandant of the SLMA, Major General M J R S Medagoda RSP USP ndc psc IG, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He attended all the events, engaging with the officer cadets and their families. In his remarks, the Commandant took the opportunity to appreciate the dedication and discipline of the cadets and extended his heartfelt gratitude to the parents for their continuous support and encouragement.
The Parents’ Day 2025, not only strengthened the bond between the Academy and the families of officer cadets but also reinforced the pride and commitment of future military leaders. It was a day of pride, unity, and celebration leaving lasting memories for all who attended the occasion.
