Exercise Seetha Sulang’ stands as a major military field exercise conducted at the Sri Lanka Military Academy, designed to enhance the knowledge regarding the offensive, defensive and transitional phase theoretical learning and practical application for trainee officer cadets.
The Exercise conducted from 29 April to 2 May 2025, saw the participation of 124 officer cadets from Intakes 94B, Lady Intake 20 & 19(V), engaging in rigorous training at the general area of Fox Hill.
Under the supervision of experienced instructors, these cadets were tasked with planning and executing tactical operations at the platoon level, encountering diverse military scenarios designed to challenge their strategic thinking. This immersive training experience provided them with the opportunity to convert classroom knowledge into hands-on execution, reinforcing the importance of teamwork, leadership, and situational awareness in combat.
The exercise is more than just a training module, it is a crucial stepping stone in the cadets' development, laying the foundation for future engagements. The lessons learned and skills honed during Exercise ‘Seetha Sulang’ will serve as indispensable assets when these trainees advance to the next phase of their training.
