A delegation of four senior officers—Col Aditya Kumar (Directing Staff), Col Raj Abhinav (Staff Officer), Col Kedar Dattatraya Gupta (Head of Department), and Lt Col Mandeep Singh (Assistant Defence Attaché)—paid a courtesy call on the Commandant on 17th October 2024, as part of their seven-day Strategic Study Management Tour in Sri Lanka.
Upon their arrival, the delegation was warmly welcomed by the Commandant and Wing Heads. During their discussions, they reflected on the strong bonds and enduring ties that have been cultivated between the two nations over the years. As part of the visit, the delegation also toured the Academy’s library, where they reviewed plans for infrastructure development. The Indian government has generously pledged a grant to improve the SLMA Library.
Following refreshments, the delegation and the Commandant exchanged mementoes and gifts to remember the visit. The delegation then departed to continue their tour, which includes visits to key military installations, memorials, and parks, as well as meetings with high-profile military officers and visits to the Sri Lanka Air Force Headquarters and Sri Lanka Navy Headquarters.
