INDIAN DELEGATION PAYS CULTURAL VISIT TO SLMA

A delegation of officers and other ranks representing the Indian tri-services paid a cultural visit to the Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) on 3 October 2024. The visit aimed to strengthen military ties and foster cultural exchange between Sri Lanka and India, reinforcing the bond between the two neighboring nations.

A highlight of the visit was a captivating cultural performance by the Sri Lanka Navy cultural team, which showcased traditional Sri Lankan dances and values to the Indian delegation. The delegation also participated in several significant events, including a briefing on the Monument of Peace and an overview of the SLMA parade ground led by Officer Cadets.

The 120-member Indian delegation was warmly welcomed by the Deputy Commandant and Wing Heads of the SLMA. This visit not only strengthened military cooperation but also deepened cultural understanding between the two countries, further solidifying a relationship that has endured through history.
