The Cadet Government plays a crucial role in fostering leadership, discipline, and responsibility among officer cadets at the Military Academy. It serves as an intermediary between the cadet body and the Academy's command structure, ensuring smooth communication and efficient management of cadet-related activities.
The Cadet Government Appointment Awarding Ceremony for the second half of 2024 was held on 7 October 2024. Officer Cadets from Intake 93 B and SC 21 were honored with new leadership roles. A total of 32 appointments were awarded during the ceremony, including:
The event was graced by the Deputy Commandant, Brigadier PSJD Samarasekara RSP USP ndc psc, as the Chief Guest. Wing Heads, course officers, company commanders, and other officers were in attendance to witness this occasion.
In his address, the Chief Guest congratulated the newly appointed cadet leaders and emphasized the importance of their roles in upholding discipline, responsibility, and leadership within their respective groups. He encouraged them to lead by example and set a high standard for their peers as they embark on their new duties while respecting the honour code of the Academy.
