TRAINING AUDIT VISIT OF A TEAM FROM DIRECTORATE OF RESEARCH, CONCEPT AND DOCTRINE (DRCD) AT THE ARMY HEADQUARTERS
On 30th July 2024, the Director - Research , Concept and Doctrine (DRCD) at the Army Headquarters, Brigadier TN Majeed RSP USP ndc Isc, Colonel - Training, Concept and Monitoring , Colonel DMGKH De Silva psc along with a few other Senior Officers paid an official visit to the SLMA in order to monitor, evaluate the current training curriculums conducted at the SLMA, and to introduce potential measures to uplift the training standards of the courses through a training audit.
Upon their arrival, the Director and the team were given with a warm welcome by the Commanding Officer - Admin Wing Colonel WAP Ranathunga at the main entrance of the Military Academy. Afterwards, a group photograph with the SLMA staff was taken at the Headquarters Complex. Later, training, administration and evaluation related matters were taken into a discussion, held at the HQ Conference Hall with the participation of all Wing Heads, Senior Officers and Officers of the SLMA. Subsequently, the Director and the team visited a few selected locations of the Thistle Camp to witness ongoing training sessions and then the final debriefing was held by making a conclusion to the training audit. Before making the departure, the Director and the team were hosted with a feast arranged at the Officers’ Mess in hospitality.
