VISIT OF ADJUTANT GENERAL TO THE SLMA

On 26 April 2024, the Adjutant General of the Army Headquarters, Major General WWHRRVMNDKB Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc paid an official visit to the SLMA. On his arrival to the Military Academy, the Commandant- SLMA along with the Deputy Commandant cordially welcomed him to the SLMA at the main entrance of the Academy and also in honour, a Guard Turnout was accorded to him. Then, a discussion with the Adjutant General regarding the matters coming under Adjutant General Branch, Army Headquarters was held at the Conference Hall with the participation of Commandant, Deputy Commandant, all Wing Heads and staff officers of the SLMA Headquarters. Simultaneously, an awareness programme on the welfare facilities provided by the Army to the army personnel was also conducted for the Military Academy personnel at the Sino Lanka Friendship Auditorium. Then, making his visit more meaningful and fruitful, Major General Nalinda Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc addressed the officers, all other ranks and civil servants of the Academy at the Sino Lanka Friendship Auditorium and during his address, contemporary issues pertaining to Army personnel, and importance of their responsible behaviour were highlighted by sharing his own experiences. After his speech, he remembered to leave a complimentary note about his official visit in the Visitors’ Book and posed for a group photograph at the lobby of the Headquarter Complex with the Commandant, Deputy Commandant, Wing Heads, the Academy Sergeant Major and the Wing Sergeant Majors of the Military Academy. Finally, he set off the Military Academy, Diyathalawa with a big thank to the SLMA for her hospitality.
