VISIT OF IMA DELEGATION TO SLMA

An Indian delegation consisting of two officers and three Officer Cadets visited the Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA), Diyatalawa as a destination of their tour to Sri Lanka from 29 October to 04 November 2023.

On 29 October, the delegation was received at the Bandaranaike International Airport and the members of the delegation were called upon by Director General General Staff at his office on 30 October. Afterwards, they reached at the Army Training School (ATS), Maduru Oya. On 31 October and 01 November, they were extended with the experience of a Day/Night Orientation March and a Confidence March.

After these field activities at Maduru Oya, the delegation reached at Diyatalawa on 02 November evening and was accommodated at Army holiday bungalows. On 03 November 2023, the delegation arrived at the Headquarters- SLMA and the members were warmly welcomed by the Deputy Commandant along with Wing Heads. Afterwards, a series of significant activities such as a briefing on the SLMA, a group photograph, visit to the monument, Commandant’s call on and exchange of mementoes took place before they resumed their visit through the Academy, MSTS and Field Firing Range (FFR) at Fox Hill. In the evening, they were hosted with a cocktail followed by a special dinner at the Officer Cadets’ Mess. After the dinner, the delegation left their complimentary message in the Visitors’ Book of the Mess.

On 04th November, they set off for Colombo with the memory of a splendid journey to the Sri Lanka Military Academy, Diyatalawa.
