SLMA OFFICER CADETS RESERVED THEIR PLACE IN INTER- REGIMENT GOLF TOURNAMENT - 2023

On 16 and 17 September 2023, the Inter-Regiment Golf Tournament 2023 organized by the Army Golf Committee in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Military Academy was held at the Diyatalawa Golf Course with the participation of Major General B K G M L Rodrigo RSP psc IG , the Commandant of DSCSC and the chairman of Sri Lanka Army Golf Club, as the Chief Guest along with some senior officers and officers of varied Regiments of the Sri Lanka Army, and trainee Officer Cadets at the SLMA.

Remarkably, representing the Sri Lanka Military Academy Golf Club (SLMA), one Lady Officer Cadet team and two male Officer Cadet teams consisting of 12 players participated in the Inter Regiment Golf Tournament as per the guidance and direction of the Commandant of SLMA Major General M T I Mahalekam WWV RWP RSP USP ndu psc, and the close supervision of Colonel E W R S B Ehelepola USP USACGSC, the Commanding Officer of Officer Cadet Wing.

For the Officer Cadets, this event was a significant milestone in their journey of military training as it provided them with valuable exposure and experience to the game of Golf and to their overall development. Also, the tournament held in salubrious climes of Diyatalawa brought all competitors and participants a stunning experience and a change to their busy lives.
