FOUR FINAL TERM OFFICER CADETS PRESENTED THEIR PAPERS AT THE 3RD STUDENT RESEARCH FORUM AT KDU

On 15th August 2023, four Officer Cadets of Intake 92 were given an opportunity to represent SLMA and present their research papers at the Third Student Research Symposium held at the Sir John Kotelawala Defence University; Cdt/CQMS P G A Pannila on "An Analysis of Battle of Mulleriyawa" , Cdt/L/Cpl N M S C Dissanayake on "Influence of Social Media on the Political Behaviour of Youth in Sri Lanka", O/Cdt R M M H Rathnayake on "The Impact of Civil Military Cooperation to Fulfill the Security Requirements of Sri Lanka” and Pl/U/O M A Jayaratne on "Developing Colombo City Transportation Through AI Technology.’ Meanwhile, Director Academics- SLMA Colonel Aruna Karunaratne USP psc chaired the second session of the Symposium, held under the theme of ‘Diplomacy & Foreign Policy in an Emerging Word Order’ at FGS Auditorium of the University and also Major Thushara Witharana SLAGSC, Lecturer in Research Methodology – SLMA, too attended the event as a member of the Panel of Judges to select the best presenter of the Student Research Forum 2023. The keynote address of the Symposium was delivered by H.E Lalita Kapur, Deputy High Commissioner of Australia to Sri Lanka and the Vice Chancellor, of KDU Major General Milinda Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil (Ind), graced the Student Research Forum as the Chief Guest. Meanwhile, many distinguished guests and invitees, officer cadets and day scholars of KDU, and students from local universities also participated in the event in witnessing the 3rd Student Research Forum at KDU.
