On 26 June, 2023, a Bangladesh delegation comprising of high-ranking military officers headed by Major General M D Faizur Rahman, the Commandant of Defense Services Command and Staff College paid an official visit to the Sri Lanka Military Academy.
On arrival, the delegation was warmly received by Wing Heads along with the Adjutant-SLMA at the main entrance of the Military Academy. Afterwards, the distinguished guests had a casual discussion with the Commandant, Major General I A N B Perera RWP USP ndu psc at his office where an exchange of mementos took place to honour the mutual bond between the two armies. Afterwards, the guests were cordially welcomed to the Military Academy at the Sino Lanka Friendship Auditorium, where the SLMA documentary was played to underline the role and tasks of this Academy. To make the journey to the Sri Lanka Military Academy a memorable one, a group photograph was taken at the lobby of the Sino-Lanka Auditorium.
Finally, a special dinner arranged at the Officer’s Mess on the delegation’s behalf brought a delightful end to their short stay at the garrison city of Diyatalawa.
