A DELEGATION OF DSCSC, BANGALADESH MARK TIME AT SLMA

Learning through travel provide students with valuable educational opportunities away from the traditional classroom and tiresome textbooks. A delegation of Defense Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC), Bangladesh chose Sri Lanka as the finest destination of their study tour.

On 16 June 2022, the Bangladesh delegation consisting of nine senior officers headed by Major General Ibne Fazal Shayekhuzzaman, BSP (BAR), SGP, afwc, psc, the Commandant – DSCSC, Bangladesh toured at SLMA as the final destination of their tour. At the arrival, the Commandant- DSCSC, Bangladesh together with the other senior officers were warmly welcome at the main entrance by the Director Academics along with a section of academy staff. The customary wreath laying to the war memorial was taken place in honour while a briefing to the memorial was also given to make them aware of the memorial.

Once they arrived at the Sino Lanka Friendship Auditorium, the Deputy Commandant received the delegation in warmth. The academy presentation educated these officers on the principal role and tasks of the military academy.

Afterwards, an interactive session was held at the Officer Cadet Mess with the participation of Maj Gen Nalinda Niyangoda RWP RSP USP ndu psc, his staff and a section of trainees. Mementos between the two parties were exchanged at the main entrance as a token of appreciation. It was unforgotten to snapshot their remarkable stay at Diyatalawa in camera lens before the departure.

That evening, a special banquet for the delegation was hosted by the Commandant-SLMA to complement the visit in hospitality.
