Vesak Poya Day the holly day of the Buddhist community of the world is extremely important as most of the Buddhist devotees extensively involved in meritorious activities for spiritual development of their lives.
In aligned with the Vesak Poya day activities, the military personnel hand in hand with civil employees of the military academy organized a Bodi Puja at Ella Camp with the participation of the Deputy Commandant, Brig WSN Hemarathne RWP RSP psc along with Wing Heads, 40 officers and 150 NCOs on 15 evening May 2022.
Having conducted the Bodi Puja ceremony, Venerable Indrarathna Thero of Sri Sumangalaramaya, Ellegam Temple invoked blessings over all members of the academy and people of the country to be healthy, prosperous and harmonious in this tough period. In the end, customarily, ‘Pirikara’ was offered to the monk in gratitude and for meritorious gains.
