The 127th Drill Instructors Course consisting of 129 SNCOs from 24 Regiments of the Sri Lanka Army began their comprehensive Drill Instructors’ Course conducted by the Sri Lanka Military Academy on 09 May 2022 and the course will be concluded on 16th August. The opening address of the course was held at the Sino Lanka Friendship Auditorium with the participation of the Deputy Commandant, Brigadier WSN Hemarathna RWP RSP psc as the Chief Guest.
By addressing the students, the Deputy Commandant underscored how the SLMA pioneered the need of Army by training and grooming professional drill instructors to the Sri Lanka Army apart from playing the dynamic role of producing young leaders to the Army. The NCOs were advised to follow the well- structured course curriculums with determination and optimism which will lead to successfully accomplish the ambition of being a professional drill instructor of the victorious army.
The significant moment of the 127th DI Course, the opening ceremony was witnessed by the Wing Heads, Senior Officers, Officers and the other rank instructors of the Academy.
