The DE 1/2021 Officer Cadets having successfully completed their Basic Intensive Military Training for five months received the graduation certificates from the Commandant, Brigadier WWHRRVMNDKB Niyangoda RWP RSP USP ndu psc on 21 August 2021. The intake consisted of 16 professionals in Medical, Civil Engineering, Accounting, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Surveying, Quantity Surveying and Architecture.
Keeping to the tradition of their fall out, they conducted an in-depth research presentation on ‘Expanding the Role of Army by Mitigating Threats to National Security in the Face of COVID -19 Pandemic’ at the Sino-Lanka Friendship Auditorium on 19 August in the distinguished presence of the Commandant as the Chief Guest, other senior officers, officers and officer cadets of the Academy.
The 20 August 2021 was an ever-memorable day for these Officer Cadets as their achievement of successful completion of the training course was appreciated at the Certificate Awarding Ceremony. Afterwards, the professionals’ take off from the SLMA was marked by a Dinner session hosted by the Commandant at the Officer Cadets’ Mess on 21st evening and by adding heartiest congratulations for a challenging career in the Army.
