The Commissioning Dinner which was held on 19th evening at the Cadets’ Mess was attended by the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence as the Chief Guest, the Chief of Defence Staff and the Commander of the Army, all Principal Staff Officers, Colonel Commandants, Colonels of the Regiments, Defence Attaches and Advisors and SLMA Staff. This ceremony is traditionally hosted by the Commandant and staff of the institute to welcome the newly commissioned officers to the officer corps of the Sri Lanka Army and for the newly commissioned officers to acquaint with their Colonel Commandants and Colonels of the Regiments.
